IHO commemorative event

From the mapping of the ocean envisaged by Prince Albert I to the Argo programme: how can we improve our understanding of the ocean?

The ocean is a vast space including unexplored regions. This lecture will discuss the changes that have taken place in oceanography since Prince Albert I’s expeditions and the GEBCO chart series through to current projects, including the floats deployed as part of Argo, an exciting, multidisciplinary international project. We are thrilled to be able to present a state-of-the-art Argo float.

Lecture in English followed by a cocktail reception
