This exhibition will pay tribute to the friendship between two sovereigns who were also oceanographers, Prince Albert I and King Dom Carlos of Portugal. It will showcase the voyages and expeditions undertaken by Prince Albert I in Portugal (Madeira, Azores and Lisbon).
It is being organised in conjunction with the Navy Museum in Lisbon, with contributions from the Archives of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco, the Oceanographic Museum and the Albert I Committee.
