Prince Albert I became a member of the Société de Géographie (the French Geographical Society) on 4 December 1885. During the bicentenary of what is the world’s oldest geographical society, the Société de Géographie of Paris was founded on 15 December 1921, a tribute will be paid to the Explorer Prince in the presence of H.S.H.  Sovereign Prince Albert II.
